With over 20 years of construction experience, Eric Hetletvedt decided to start a new specialized business. He established Techno Metal Post Central Minnesota in 2012.
During my career as a General Contractor in the construction industry, I had deep foundation projects that required helical piles once or twice a year. I noticed only a few companies provided this service and that they specialized in large commercial jobs. Scheduling them for my small residential jobs was difficult. They also used very large equipment which was not designed for helical pile installation. I thought there had to be an easier way.
After visiting Techno Metal Post headquarters, there was no question in my mind: I wanted to do business with this manufacturer. Techno Metal Post designs, engineers, and manufactures their own piles and installation equipment, which is specially designed for helical pile installation. Techno Metal Post helical piles are guaranteed not to move or settle due to frost heave and are guaranteed to support small or heavy loads. Installation is done with little impact to the surrounding environment. The machine tracks leave little disturbance to property and landscaping.

No job is too small for consideration. Techno Metal Post Central Minnesota is currently based in Waconia MN, so I have the potential to work anywhere in the state, depending on the project. I typically travel within a range of 60 miles or less. Our helical foundations are installed by our certified installers, using proprietary hydraulic machines, allowing you to immediately start building on them, without the hassles of digging holes and pouring concrete.
Our engineering department studies your project and proposes the appropriate solution. The engineering team is able to issue the necessary documents to meet the requirements of your municipality.
Every Techno Metal Post is covered by a twenty-five (25) year limited warranty from the date of the installation. We support all our customers with a high level of service, from manufacturing to the installation, so that they can benefit from our technology and experience that raises the level of performance in the industry.
We have developed a range of proprietary hydraulic machines dedicated entirely to the installation of screw piles. No excavation is required for the installation of the helical foundations. Once the Techno Metal Posts are installed, a minimal footprint is left on the lawn and landscape.
Our screw piles are designed according to the highest engineering and quality standards. Thus, their capacity to support heavy loads is guaranteed. In addition, the green sleeve slides along the pile according to the soil movements and ensures its stability during freeze/thaw periods.
Our specialized hydraulic machines are small, yet still very powerful. The machinery allows the installers to install the helical foundations even if the job access is difficult or the terrain is sloping. Our smallest machine can even go through a normal door frame or a gate door.

I have used them for decks and additions. By the time you weigh out the labor to dig holes, buy tubes and fill tubes with concrete, backfill around tubes and fix the landscape around where you dig, this is a much better setup and dollar for dollar less expensive!
