Techno Pieux Québec realizó el pasado mes de septiembre un proyecto de gran envergadura. Se trata del mayor proyecto de toda la historia de Techno Pieux, una realización que demuestra claramente que el empleo de los pilotes atornillados no se limita únicamente a proyectos en el sector de la vivienda. De hecho, durante el pasado año Techno Pieux experimentó un incremento en los pedidos procedentes del comercio y la industria,
Para la ampliación del edificio de Atrium Innovation se requirieron nada menos que 522 pilotes del modelo P3 HD (carga máxima de 225 kN por pilote) para soportar una losa de hormigón armado de 14 pulgadas de espesor (355 mm). Los pilotes fueron instalados a una profundidad promedio de 27 pies (8,5m) en un estrato de grava y de arena de alta densidad.
La ejecución de las obras llamó la atención de los medios de comunicación de la región. En un video realizado por Télémag Québec se explican las diferentes etapas de ejecución de una obra de tal envergadura. A pesar de la magnitud del proyecto, la obra se ejecutó en una semana con tan sólo seis empleados en el terreno.
